What a wonderful stay at the Layton Castle.
From the opening of the gate, seeing the beautiful grounds, the flowers and trees, sitting areas, wedding areas, with the castle standing in front of you, everything you saw was spectacular.
So serene, wonderful place for a romantic get away, or a wedding.
The cottage that we stayed in blew us away. Everything you needed was right there.
So clean and decorated gorgeously.
The tour of the castle, the knowledge and the insight that was explained was above expectation.
Six generations and information is still being found and learned. We felt that you could sit and be still and you would be able to hear conversations of those who had lived there after the thorough Tour.
The area around has so much to see and do. Great restaurants, historical places: Coke Museum, Bible Museum was fantastic as well as the black bayou area.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay and wished we had planned to stay longer.
It is a must stay! Absolutely Excellent!

This weekend we stayed at the most WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, Best Place to stay in Louisiana or actually anywhere where. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. The master bed makes you never want to get out of it. There is a separate sitting area for friends to come over and talk. The bathroom is LARGE with a 2 person shower. The kitchen is also well equipped with everything you will ever need. There is also a livingroom that has a BIG screen TV. It is such a wonderful place to stay. We plan on making this our yearly place to stay when we come to Monroe. Won't stay anywhere else. Luxury without having to break your kids piggy bank to stay.

This castle stay was awesome. It’s certainly a hidden gem unlike anywhere we have stayed. We were there when the grounds were in full bloom and perfectly manicured. The owners are very personable and welcoming. They pay close attention to detail and want your stay to be a great experience. We highly recommend this property and it will not disappoint.
